ARRANGER NOTES — This beautiful Christmas song was copyrighted nearly thirty years ago in 1989. Compared to the actual Christmas carols, thirty years is a relatively short time; however, the popularity of All Is Well— at the very least— already qualifies it as a classic song of Christmas. The melody is both pure and simple and the arrangement is the same. Beginning in the key of A Major (yes, three sharps), the hand position feels natural, and the same is true for the keys of both C and G Major still to come. When you are playing this as an instrumental solo, it may be a good idea to project the lyrics on a screen at the front of the sanctuary since some members of the congregation may not recognize the melody alone. Take your time, keep it simple and bring these beautiful lyrics to life!
