ARRANGER NOTES — This powerful praise & worship song recorded by Michael W. Smith on A NEW HALLELUJAH has quickly risen to the top of the CCLI charts. That means that it translates well to the corporate worship experience. However, it also works well as an instrumental solo and should be played ‘strongly and with conviction’ as suggested in the intro. Since it is such a popular melody, most of you should not have a problem reading the syncopated rhythm of the verse beginning at bar 5. Because full RH chords are needed, I have included several fingerings to make the frequently changing hand positions easier. As always, thinking the lyrics as you play will help you to communicate the song more effectively.
