LEVEL — Moderate – Early Advanced
PERFORMANCE TIME (approx.) — 1:45
SUGGESTIONS FOR USE — Prelude, Offertory, Recital
ARRANGER NOTES — The MM marking (quarter note = ca. 66) is merely a suggestion. The important thing is to take your time with this one since there is a lot going on musically… moving inner voices, separate stems in the RH and some lush harmonies, for example. The traditional hymn starts out very simply, but when the new chorus begins at bar 10 the harmonies become more sophisticated. At the key change from F to D major (bar 18) those of you with a smaller reach may want to omit the lowest RH note of the four-note chords.
