So . . . it’s really hard to believe that today is the beginning of August and, once again, life seems to be moving at a record pace here in Music City. (‘Record’- what’s that??)
For most of us certain recurring summertime JOYS bring back precious memories. For me, that translates to events like celebrating my parents’ wedding anniversary each July 31st, annual trips to Niagara Falls (the Canadian side, of course), the annual conference of the Methodist Church in Findley Lake, New York) and summertime concerts at the Chautauqua Institution – a short drive from my Alma Mater: State University of New York at Fredonia. (The short list!)
On the personal side the summer of 2019 has included making new memories as well (most starring my four grandchildren)! This July I had the JOY watching my family move into their beautiful new home here in Williamson County TN. But the past couple of months have also included a different kind of creative JOY. Starting with a blank screen and ending with notes that I have never heard before in exactly the same way = JOY for me. This year it meant getting closer to completing the WORSHIP ESSENTIALS series. (NOTE: the first three books in this new series have been released and the next three will release this fall.)
(Stay tuned for further info.).
So back to the working title of this newsletter: TIME FLIES . . . indeed, it does! It’s hard to believe that www.caroltornquist.com launched approximately one year ago (July 18, 2018 to be exact). It has been quite a learning curve for me and I thank you all for your patience. I am making one major change starting with the next newsletter. Rather than my offering a FREE public domain arrangement of a familiar song (usually a hymn), I will create a brand-new arrangement of a popular contemporary title available with each newsletter. It will be included under the CAROL’SKEYS MENU and the cost will be just $3.50.
In the meantime, please check out my FACEBOOK page in the next few days . . . I am committed to playing catch-up to your kind comments!
