"It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas." So goes one of our most popular songs of the season.

Actually, it began to look a lot like Christmas several weeks ago. (It seems to happen earlier each year - right?)

Of course, it has begun to sound a whole lot like Christmas, too. (Just imagine setting the stage for December 25th minus any music!) From traditional favorites like SANTA CLAUS IS COMIN' TO TOWN to old friends like FROSTY and RUDOLPH, the secular side of the season is everywhere you look (and listen).

However, there is one unique musical genre that belongs exclusively to Christians and that is our CHRISTMAS CAROLS. Ancient melodies. Sacred lyrics. Timeless and unchanging . . .just like the original Christmas story from the book of Luke. New Bible translations may be read and new harmonies may be sung, but the story of Christ's birth remains the same.

So with these thoughts in mind, I spontaneously turned on my computer one afternoon and began noodling around with a few of these favorite Christmas carols. That noodling quickly changed to notes on a screen which turned into the idea of my sending it to you as a digital gift this year. This is my first year to have my own website which allows me to do that on my own (i. e. without a publisher).

I realize that most of your Christmas repertoire has already been chosen, so you may consider filing this new medley in your piano bench for safe keeping. (You know, just in case you end up one solo short . . .sort of a musical PLAN B!)

So just go to the PRODUCT MENU and check under Current Month's FREE ARRANGEMENT. The title of your free medley to download is: FIVE CAROLS for CHRISTMAS. The individual song titles include The First Noel, There's a Song in the Air, Angels We Have Heard on High, Angels, from the Realms of Glory and O Holy Night!

Gloria in Excelsis Deo!

’Tis the SEASON . . .
